The second to last Toronto Flower Market is coming up this Saturday, September 10th and you don’t want to miss it!
A few weeks ago my best friend and I headed over to the Toronto Flower Market, before stopping in for coffee and take away sandwiches from the bakery at Colette Grand Cafe. We arrived at the Flower Market around 11:30 am that day, the market is open from 10:00 am – 3:00 pm. You should definitely go as early as possible as the best stuff sells out quickly! There are about a dozen vendors at the Toronto Flower Market, including bouquets, arrangements in vases, succulents, and more! After touring the vendors, my friend chose the vase with the big dark pink bloom, shown below, and I chose to get three bunches from Van Geest Greenhouses. One of the main benefits of buying from this market is that the flowers last way longer than flowers from your local store, my flowers lasted until late last week! After the market we headed over to the Colette Grand Cafe to pick up a little lunch. The main restaurant was closed for a private party, so we grabbed a sandwich and coffee from the bakery and headed to a park across the street.
I wore the most comfortable dress I have ever owned! It is seriously SO comfortable, and perfect for transitioning into fall. It is by Gilbert, which is available at your local Mendocino. It comes in a few different colours, and considering how soft it is and how easy it cold be worn into fall and winter, I think I will be going back for more.
