What a busy, and fun, weekend we had! We started off with a double date to a local Fall Fair on Friday evening which was a total culture shock for Josh and I. We both grew up in the suburbs of Toronto and have never spent much time in the country or at small town fairs, so witnessing a Truck and Tractor Pull was like entering a whole new world. I still don’t quite understand it, but it was a lot of fun. Saturday morning started with our weekly trip to the farmers market, where one of my girlfriends joined us, then we headed out to another community event before going to a friends housewarming. We stopped in for some treats at Kelly’s Bake Shoppe before going to see our friends new place. Kelly’s is my go-to place for treats for my side of the family. Between myself, my brothers, and our parents we have two peanut allergies, a lactose allergy, a gluten allergy and, the worst one of the bunch, a chocolate allergy! Kelly’s is the perfect place for me to go because they are vegan, nut free, and gluten free, plus they have plenty of non-chocolate options.
With all the running around we did on Saturday, I chose to layer my outfit so I would be comfortable throughout the day. I paired this navy and white gingham button down with my new favourite lightweight sweater for a nautical look. I, very often, pair a button down blouse or collared shirt with my sweaters in the fall and I love the little bell sleeve detail on this sweater. My favourite part about this sweater, the price! I snagged this cutie for less than $15, along with a number of other items from SheIn.com. Honestly, I was a bit nervous when I first ordered from this website, because it seemed to good to be true, but when my package arrived a few weeks later and out came two well made and well fitting tops, I was hooked. I love that I can find affordable fashion pieces for really reasonable prices, and there are new items every day! I would suggest sizing up for bottoms as I have found it does fit small, but for tops, dresses, and even this purse, which is a dupe of the very pricey Chloe Drew bag, I have been thrilled with my purchases.
