By now you have likely noticed that I am all about Christmas. I love this time of year and all of the planning that goes into it. One of the things I always look forward to each year is putting up our tree. At my parents house we would always have two trees, one fake one for my mom to decorate, because she’s allergic, and one real one for us kids to decorate will all the ornaments we made and collected throughout the years. When Josh and I moved in together I insisted we have at least one tree in our place, I tried for two but was quickly shot down because we really don’t have the space.

Last year we headed up to Wintersinger’s, based on the recommendation from a friend, and it did not disappoint. It was so dang cute and the people who run it are the sweetest! We went on a Monday when it was nice and quiet and had so much fun letting our old dog Morris run around and check out all the trees. The tree we bought was a little pricey, but it was beautiful, barely shed, and lasted for a good 6-7 weeks. This year we ended up buying a fake pencil tree for our living room, but I just couldn’t skip out on a trip to the tree farm to pick  up some greenery for our place. We took a quick drive up to Clembrook Christmas Tree Farm with Odin and picked up a wreath for our bedroom – it’s all about compromise. I just love having that fresh Balsam or Fraser fir scent in our home this time of year.

P.S. only 12 days until Christmas!!
