I am a sucker for crisp white blouses, denim, or dresses for summer – pulling those pieces out of my closet each spring gets me excited for the warmer days ahead. Not that I don’t wear white after Labour Day.
This past weekend I watched one of my best friend’s walk down the aisle in her perfect white dress – it was such an amazing moment to stand by her as she married her best friend while grinning from ear to ear. This weekend had me reflecting a lot on this time last year when I was about to get married, and how quickly this first (almost – we were married on July 1st) year has gone by. I decided to pull out this dress that I wore for our engagement photos a couple years ago and top it off with this cute gingham sweater my mom gave to me for lunch and a walk by the lake with Josh. I can’t wait for more summer days like this ahead, or to celebrate our first anniversary and Canada’s 150th anniversary on July 1st!
P.S. we may have picked our wedding date so we can have fireworks each year!
