Happy Monday loves! I hope you all had a great weekend. J is off camping with a group of guys from the fire hall and I have some time off this week so I am enjoying some quiet time at home, finally finishing all the books I received for Christmas. Does anyone else go through multiple books at once and take forever to finish them?
This past Saturday we headed to the farmers market to pick up some peaches for our favourite summer breakfast – grilled peach french toast. I threw on this easy tie-front dress for the market where I picked up some sunflowers, along with our peaches and peppers (the veggies we constantly have in our house). Once we finished at the market we took a walk through the local park and enjoyed some quiet time sitting by the lake. While there we happened to have a photographer pass by who offered to take a snap of both J and I, a rare occasion since he is usually the one behind the camera. I love this dress for this time of year, it’s perfect for the summer wind down with it’s slightly thicker material, along with it’s cut out and slit details. It’s just the right balance between a light and airy dress and one that will work well in the fall. It also works well paired with a knit cardigan for those early morning walks.
