Happy first week of October! I cannot believe that September flew by so quickly and (Canadian) Thanksgiving is this weekend. We finally got a taste of fall weather this past weekend which had me pulling out all my plaid, knits, and boots. This weather makes me head to the kitchen to whip up my fall favourites – “leftover” turkey sandwich melts and butternut squash soup. For our family Thanksgiving dinner I always scratch make butternut squash ravioli. It takes about five hours and my arms are on fire by the end since I don’t own a pasta maker (if you have a recommendation for a good, affordable, one please leave it in the comments), but it is SO worth it to make a delicious meal to share with my family.
