How do I Wear That Wednesday: Winter Boots for Work and Date Night

Last week I took to Instagram to get some feedback from you all about how I could better serve you through this blog. The three main takeaways were 1) start doing hair tutorials again 2) do more beauty and makeup posts 3) start a series answering your fashion questions.

The main reason I started this blog was for my girlfriends, and for a creative outlet for me. I often had friends coming to me with questions about what to wear for a certain occasion, how to style a piece of clothing, or looking for a recommendation on a certain product or piece. With that in mind, I am starting up the series “How do I Wear That Wednesday”. Each week I will pick one item or category to talk about and will either show you a few ways you would style a piece of clothing or, like this week, will show you options for pieces to help you solve a fashion problem.

This weeks focus is on practical, and stylish, winter footwear to take you through your day, and this season. Over the holidays I had a handful of conversations with friends and family about the struggle to find fashionable footwear in the winter. This is something I am challenged with every year and I feel that over the years I have found some really good solutions to this problem.

I searched through a number of sites to compile my favouite boots that are stylish, waterproof, and affordable (under $300 – I think a good pair of boots is worth the investment). Here are my top picks:

I would love to hear from you about pieces you would like to see over the coming weeks and if you find these posts helpful. Thanks so much for reading!

If you’re looking for more substantial winter boots, here are my top picks:

Of all the boots I own, these quilted Hunter boots are definitely my favourite ones. They were worth every penny and will be worn many, many more times.
